Endoscopic CycloPhotocoagulation (ECP)
ECP uses laser energy to treat the tissue (ciliary body) that produces fluid
inside
the eye. The result is a slowing or stopping of fluid
production, reducing or preventing pressure on the eye and
the resultant threat of vision loss. ECP therapy can reduce
or eliminate the need for eye drops. It can be performed as
a standalone procedure, or during cataract surgery or as a
stand alone outpatient procedure.
